WOOD STAINING SERVICES

Are you looking for wood staining services for your home or business?  No matter if you need furniture, doors, trim/molding, flooring, wall paneling, or any other wooden surface stained, our professional team can lend our expertise to help you accomplish your wood staining goals.

A typical process for wood staining includes:

After an initial discussion with our team and understanding what wooden surfaces need to be stained, Long Painting will first prepare the wood for staining.

This includes sanding down the surface to provide a smooth surface and remove any paint/stain previously applied.  The removal will allow the new stain to better absorb into the wood.

Our team will help you select the right stain for your surface.

Items to consider include what shade of stain do you prefer (light, dark, or in between), and there are also different types of stain in regards to how much it penetrates the surface.  Some stains are used for providing a protective coating and only lightly penetrate the wood.

Once a stain has been selected our team will determine the right tools to apply the stain.  These tools may include a brush, roller, or sprayer.  When working with a professional team you can feel confident that you will avoid any streaks or blotches.

After applying the stain and any additional coats, you will need to allow sufficient time for the stain to dry completely.

The time needed will vary based on the stain and amount of stain applied.

Once the stain has fully dried it is important to apply a protective finish.

The protective coating will allow for your wood staining to preserve it’s color and quality look of the wood.

The protective finish has a life span and will need to be periodically cleaned or reapplied to maintain a beautiful finish.

Our team will be sure to review this step with you and answer any questions that you have.
